TRADING HISTORY OF TIDDLYWINKS LIMITED
Tiddlywinks was established in 1967 in Islington, London N1 with a policy of selling exclusive children’s clothes.
Two further shops in Roman Road, London E1 and Walthamstow were opened in 1987 and 1989. In 1989 a fourth shop was opened in the fashionable St John’s Wood High Street, London NW8.
In 1998 it was decided to concentrate in North and North East London and the two shops in East London were sold.
A further shop was opened in Allitsen Road (off St John’s Wood High Street) in 1999 which specialised in Boy’s clothes from 10-16 years and traded as “BEN’S”.
It was so successful that in November 2003 it re-located to larger premises at 5 St John’s Wood High Street NW8 and incorporated Girls and Boys Clothes. It is now the only exclusive 10-16 years Girls and Boys clothes shop in London.
In 2009 an online website was opened which has proved very successful.
A Super Store was opened in March 2014 bringing all sizes together under one roof with a teenage grotto featuring party wear for 10-16yrs Boys and Girls.
